Montreal, Canada ( June 25, 2001) - Gage Applied Technologies, a leading manufacturer of Instrument Building Blocks based on the personal computer platform, today announced the availability of 16 Megabytes of acquisition memory on its CompuScope 82G family of 2 GS/s scope cards for the PCI bus.
Models of CompuScope 82G featuring up to 8 Megabytes of acquisition memory were originally released in 1999 and quickly became one of the company's best selling products. With more than double the acquisition memory than before, CompuScope 82G-16M has become the undisputed leader in the high speed, deep memory oscilloscope card market.
"Deeper acquisition memory was identified by our customers as a necessity in today's world of wireless communication. Our customers are not just viewing pretty pictures on the scope screen any longer, they are recording more and more data for complex analysis. PC based oscilloscope products are best suited for such analysis-intensive applications" stated Muneeb Khalid, General Manager of Gage Applied. "This product release is aligned with our overall corporate strategy of providing our target customers with hardware and software Instrument Building Blocks that offer differential advantage."
