CompuScope 14100C

Montreal, Canada ( April 15, 2002) - Gage Applied Technologies, a leading manufacturer of Instrument Building Blocks based on the personal computer platform, today announced the availability of the world's fastest 14 bit waveform digitizer card for CompactPCI TM bus.

CompuScope ®  14100C is the third member of Gage's family of CompactPCI TM waveform digitizer cards targeted at ATE system integrators.

"Once we identified CompactPCI TM as a high growth platform for instrumentation, it was important for our customers that we establish our performance leadership in all aspects of the digitizer market. The release of CompuScope ® 14100C extends that lead into the 14 bit arena." stated Karen McCurry, Marketing Manager of Gage. "This product release is in line with our overall corporate strategy of providing our target customers with powerful Instrument Building Blocks in order to enable innovation around the world."

6U Form Factor

CompuScope 14100C occupies a single slot in a 6U form factor CompactPCI chassis.

The main advantages of 6U CompactPCI form factor are: 6U provides twice as much real estate on the card to house high bandwidth electronics; 6U form factor allows the use of much more powerful CPU cards; and 6U form factor is twice as good at dissipating heat generated by multi-MHz and multi-GHz bandwidth analog electronics.

Software Support

CompuScope ®  14100C is fully compatible with GageScope ® oscilloscope software which allows users to acquire and analyze signals without having to write a single line of programming code.

Gage also offers Software Development Kits (SDKs) for C/C++, MATLAB ® and LabVIEW ® , with support for Windows 98/ME and Windows NT/2000/XP.

Typical Applications

Typical applications of the CompuScope 14100C include DSL Testing, 3G, High Quality Imaging, Disk Drive Testing, RADAR and RF Receivers.

Availability and Pricing

CompuScope 14100C is available immediately with a projected lead time of 6 weeks ARO for small quantity orders.
