Montreal, Canada ( November 15, 2002) - Gage Applied Technologies, a leading manufacturer of high performance digitizers based on the personal computer platform, announces the release of CompuScope 1610C-8M and CompuScope 14100C-8M, the latest members of its family of waveform digitizer cards for the CompactPCI and PXI bus.
These waveform digitizers feature 8 Megasamples of on-board acquisition memory, which is 8 times higher than earlier models, and also allow synchronization of multiple digitizer cards in the same chassis to yield up to 16 simultaneous channels, thanks to Gage's proprietary Master/Slave Interconnect technology.
"Users of high resolution digitizers are involved in applications that have unique requirements. Our latest release zeroes in on the two most important ones: deep acquisition memory buffers allow our customers to acquire longer records for more thorough analysis of the physical phenomena they are studying; and up to 16 simultaneous channels allow the monitoring of more sensors in parallel without the need for expensive signal conditioning equipment", stated Karen McCurry, Marketing Manager of Gage Applied. "This product release is aligned with our overall corporate strategy of providing our target customers with high performance hardware and software digitizer products that offer differential advantage."

CompuScope 1610C
A CompuScope 1610C digitizer card simultaneously samples two differential analog inputs with 16 bit resolution at the unparalleled rate of 10 MS/s.
CompuScope 14100C
A CompuScope 14100C digitizer card samples one single-ended analog input at 100 MS/s and two simultaneous inputs at 50 MS/s.
Software Support
All members of CompuScope family are fully compatible with GageScope ® Oscilloscope software that allows users to acquire and analyze signals without having to write a single line of programming code.
Gage also offers Software Development Kits (SDKs) for C/C++, MATLAB ® and LabVIEW ® , with support for Windows 98/ME and Windows NT/2000/XP.
Typical Applications
Typical applications of the CompuScope 1610C digitizers include shock and vibration testing, optical spectrum analysis and electromechanical testing.
Typical applications of the CompuScope 14100C digitizers include radar/lidar, wireless communication test and ultrasonic material testing.
