Montreal, Canada ( January 20, 2003) - Gage Applied Technologies, a leading manufacturer of high performance digitizers based on the personal computer platform, today announced the release of LabWindows/CVI ® Software Development Kit (SDK) for its CompuScope family of CompactPCI and PXI bus waveform digitizers.

"Our 5 GS/s CompactPCI/PXI based Waveform Digitizers are being deployed extensively in the manufacturing test environment. Customers in this field need seamless integration of our digitizers with LabWindows/CVI ® software environment", stated Karen McCurry, Marketing Manager of Gage Applied. "As always, our engineering team responded in record time by developing an IVI-based software development kit that meets customer needs."

The LabWindows/CVI ® SDK is based on an IVI (Interchangeable Virtual Instruments) interface that allows LabWindows/CVI ® to control CompuScope hardware using non-device-specific commands. These commands are translated by the IVI interface and are passed along to the CompuScope Windows drivers as CompuScope-specific Gage API function calls.

All standard oscilloscope functions described in the IVI specifications are fully supported by Gage's LabWindows/CVI ® SDK.

The IVI interface allows users to reduce the cost and size of their test equipment by effortlessly substituting their existing digitizers or oscilloscopes with Gage's high performance, high speed CompactPCI/PXI digitizers.

Gage also offers Software Development Kits (SDKs) for C/C++, MATLAB ® and LabVIEW ® , with support for Windows 98/ME and Windows NT/2000/XP.
