General Questions
Q. I do not currently own a CompuScope product, but would like to see what type of signal acquisition and analysis is possible using your products. Do you have a demo disk?
A. Yes, you can use GageScope 3.5 as a demonstration software for CompuScope products.
You can download this software off our web site at www.gagescope.com and install it on your PC.
When you launch GageScope software on a PC that does not have CompuScope card(s) installed, you are given a choice to run the software in "Demo Mode".
If you do have CompuScope card(s) installed in your PC, you can launch the demo software from the Help menu.
This mode allows you to evaluate the capabilities of Gage hardware and software without having to have the products installed in your PC.
Once you choose to run in Demo mode, you will see a two channel oscilloscope emulation with a sine wave and a triangular wave of 40 KHz frequency and approximately 900 mV amplitude.
You can change parameters such as timebase and vertical scale; make cursor measurements; perform FFTs; and make waveform parameter measurements.
If you want to view more complex signals, you can change to the "Advanced Demo Mode" by selecting "Launch Advanced Demo" item in the Help menu.
Now you will see four channels: first being an amplitude modulated sine wave; second a pulse with ringdown; third a frequency modulated sine wave; and fourth being an ultrasound pulse-echo signal.

Notice the fast transfer rate of the ultrasonic pulse on channel 4. The screen refresh rate is comparable to any traditional digital oscilloscope on the market.
Once again you can use all data manipulation parts of GageScope to check out the operation of GageScope as well as CompuScope cards.
