Q.
We need to synchronize a high-resolution digitizer with the rest of the ultrasonic test system. For this, we need the CompuScope 14100 to generate a Trigger Output signal. Is this possible?
A. Over the past few months, customers such as yourself have given us the same feedback regarding the CompuScope 14100.
Based on our "Customer is Always Right" philosophy, we have decided to implement this as one of the upgrades you can order. For CompuScope 14100, the order number of the Trigger Out Upgrade is 141-181-020.
This output is an active high TTL signal that is available through a BNC connector mounted on an Auxiliary board that is attached to the CompuScope 14100 card. Note that this Auxiliary Board occupies the space of one extra slot but does not actually plug into a PCI or ISA slot.
The Trigger Out signal can be used to externally trigger another device, such as an Ultrasonic Pulser/Receiver, so that its signal is synchronized with the CompuScope 14100 sampling clock.
