Q. What do I have to order if I want a 16 channel, 16 bit, 10 MS/s CompactPCI waveform digitizer system?

For PCI cards, I used to have to order Master and Slave upgrades, but I don't see them on your data sheet for CompuScope 1610C.

A. You are absolutely correct in saying that we do not have Master and Slave upgrades on our data sheets for CompuScope 1610C.

A Master/Slave system must be ordered as a complete set. The factory will automatically figure out how many Master or Slave upgrades are needed. For your application, you should order the CS1610C: 8 Board Master/Slave Set.

This ordering system was necessitated by the unique design of the Master/Slave interconnect module for the CompactPCI bus CompuScope cards. This module plugs into the front panel of the CompuScope cards to deliver common clock and trigger signals to each of the CompuScope boards.

Before shipping such a system to you, the factory will run a GO/NOGO test on the complete system, including the interconnect.
