Q. We have been using the HP5465 digital scopes for manufacturing test. While the price is right, the sampling speed of this DSO is becoming a limitation for us. 

Can I use your new CompuScope 85G instead? How much work is it to switch?

A. Yes, you can use the CompuScope 85G instead of your old HP 5465. 

In fact this CompuScope model provides all of the features of the HP (Agilent) DSO and then some. For example, the real time sample rate is much faster on the CompuScope 85G.

The amount of work you will have to put in is fairly short. However, it does depend on the software environment you are in and on the expertise of the software developer you will use to make the change.

If the code is written in C/C++, it may only take one to two weeks for the new software to work.
