Q. I was going to purchase a CompuScope 12100 because I need 100 MS/s sampling with 12 bit resolution, but I also need sample rates as low as 100 KS/s. Since CS12100 does not allow me to sample slower than 5 MS/s, how do I solve my problem?

A. CompuScope 12100 has been the most successful product ever manufactured by Gage, since it offers uncompromising quality at a very reasonable price. Part of the uncompromising quality was the designers' decision to limit the sample rate selection to maximize the dynamic range.

There are two solutions for you:

a) You can use a slower speed CompuScope or any other data acquisition card for slower sampling. The problem with this scheme is that you will have to do software integration to make the entire system work.

b) You can use a CompuScope 14100 that does provide high as well as slow sample rates (down to 1 KS/s).
